Too Many Dreams, Nothing to Blog!

Hey guys, in the past three days I’ve had about three dreams per night (all of which I remember). Somebody really important to me just passed away and I’ve been seeing her in my dream. I feel like those dreams are too personal for me to write because they just make me sad. This blog is for you to write all of your dreams, sad, happy, personal, etc. I’ve just been so disturbed by the images I’ve been seeing this week that I haven’t been able to write them down. I’m hoping to start having better dreams soon to blog for you.

I want you guys to be comfortable to blog on the site, which is why I’ve made it possible for you to blog your dreams as an anonymous user. Nobody (not even me) will know who you are so you can write anything you want. I find that sometimes writing things down helps you vent and helps ease your emotions. In my case, the dreams I’ve been having are just a bit too personal and even obvious. I’ve been dreaming of family members acting in certain ways and I know if I write about them, my friends and family will know exactly who it is I’m talking about. I usually do blog about family members and friends I see in dreams, but this week I just feel is not the right time for me to be blogging about all the images I’ve been seeing.

I can’t wait to read more of your dreams and to understand why you see what you see when you sleep. This blog could be your public yet anonymous diary. Nobody needs to know who you are, who you’re dreaming about, or who you’re thinking about. This blog can help you write down the images you see and share it with others who dream just like you. Keep dreaming my friends!

Imaginary Earthquake

Have you ever woken up because of an earthquake? Well, an earthquake that didn’t really happen? This happened to me the other day. I was in the middle of a dream and woke up because my room shook. I swear! I woke up to an “earthquake” and even felt my bed move, and I saw the painting on my wall move as well. I woke up and gasped because it scared me. I thought to myself, “Okay, was that an earthquake?” I checked my Facebook to see if anybody wrote any statuses (because that’s what everybody on Facebook does when there is an earthquake or anything like that), but nope, there was nothing. I was so confused! I even went to yahoo news to check, but nope, nothing. I asked my mom and friends, but they hadn’t felt anything. It was all in my imagination! I’m so confused as to how or why this happened. Am I alone in this? Has anybody else experienced this? It was just way too weird.

What is the Underlying Issue?

Everybody has issues in their personal lives. There is always a trigger to these issues, but do you know what that trigger is? Is it one thing or is it more than one thing that causes you to have issues? Do you know where these issues and problems are coming from?

Everybody has dreams (whether they remember them or not). You see images in those dreams. What do those images represent? Where are those images coming from? What is triggering these images from popping up in your dreams? These dreams are coming from somewhere, but where? If you’re having nightmares, why? What is causing you to see those nightmares and those scary images? Are the issues in your real life creeping their way slowly into your head when you sleep? I mean, who wants that, right? Sleep is your time to get away and say “see you later” to the world.

The issues in your personal life are triggered by something. You have to find that trigger and lessen these issues, in order to fix them or get rid of them. Once you get rid of these issues, the nightmares can go away. The “triggers” that cause the problems in your life, could be the “triggers” that cause you to have nightmares and see scary images.

Do you think there is a similarity between the issues in your real life and the reasons why you have nightmares? Maybe you don’t know why you have nightmares, but there may be an underlying issue in your real life that is causing these scary images to appear in your dreams. Are these nightmares a sign of fear and negativity in your life? If you get rid of the negativity and the fears and problems around you, will you be resolving your issues? See if you notice a difference in your life and your dreams. When you make the problems go away, or fix them, you may be getting rid of the reasons that you are having nightmares and disturbing dreams. Your personal issues can affect what you see when you sleep. If you want to have good dreams, it’s up to you to make a positive change in your life.

Thoughts vs. Dreams

Am I alone in this? Am I the only one who gets confused by whether or not I thought something or I actually dreamt it? How many times do u ask yourself the next morning after you wake up from a dream, “Wait, was I thinking that in my head before I fell asleep or was I dreaming?”

Thoughts are something you know you have complete control over, therefore, when you’re in your bed about to fall asleep, you control the things you see in your head before you drift away to dreamland. Once you’re in your dream zone, forget about it, it’s just your mind and the dream, all control is gone. So why is it that sometimes we get these two confused? I think it’s because most of the time, we think we dreamt something, but it’s just too “close to home,” and we start to wonder whether or not we actually thought it because it’s just too realistic. After you’ve seen this “dream” or this “thought,” do you wake up the next morning, tell your friends the “dream,” then stop to ask yourself whether or not you’re telling them a dream? Or a thought? Why do we get confused? When this happens to me, I’m uncertain about whether or not I should tell someone because there’s a possibility that I’m just telling them what I thought and not what I actually dreamt. Where’s the fun in that?

I recently dreamt, or wait, did I think? Not sure. I woke up the next morning and could remember the images I saw during my sleep. I “dreamt” I was driving in the car with some friends I’m not close to anymore, but a few important friends were missing in the picture. I asked myself, “Well, if I had been thinking about my distant friends, why would I leave my closer friends out of the picture? Why weren’t they ‘invited’ into this dream/thought?” If I was dreaming, then that explains it, I couldn’t control it. I couldn’t bring my closer friends into the picture, and I can’t blame myself and feel guilty about it. All I know is that I was confused. Was I dreaming? Thinking? Why did it feel so real? My dreams always mess with my head, I always dream of the most realistic things which is why I always wake up feeling confused the next morning. What can I say, I’m a big dreamer!

Do You Dream About Celebrities?

I am constantly dreaming about celebrities. I watch too much television, too many movies and read too many celebrity gossip magazines. The more I watch these shows and read, the more connected I feel with the celebrities. I get to know them on a different level. Sometimes I learn more about them, and know more about them than I do about some of my friends. This may be a reason I dream about them, because I am constantly seeing them around me. I start to become familiar with their faces, and start to feel a sort of connection with them. Of course in my dreams they become completely different characters. All I recognize are their faces, but their personalities and actions throw me off guard. After I dream about these celebrities, I view them differently. If I see them on TV the next day, I feel this deeper connection with them, as if they are my friend, or someone I have hung out with recently. I gain this attraction and interest towards the celebrity.

There is an article by Julia Finley about what celebrities mean in dreams. Check out the article here: http://www.examiner.com/dreams-in-national/what-do-celebrities-mean-dreams. This article discusses that we ourselves are represented by the celebrities in our dreams. We have to look at what the celebrity is doing, how he/she is acting, because his/her action in the dream represents us, and who we are.

There is a connection between my reason of why I see celebrities in my dreams, and Julia’s article. I usually dream about the celebrities I admire, or whose shows and movies I watch. I dream about the celebs who I read about, and care to know more about. These celebs interest me because I relate to them, I like them, I admire them, then I dream about them. These celebs who I compare myself to, show up in my dreams because they represent who I am, the things I like, the type of person I am. Do you guys ever dream of celebrities? What do you think it means when you dream of them? I recently dreamt about Heather Morris from Glee (one of my favorite shows). She was the female blonde in my dream who was trying to put something illegal in my trunk. Read about that dream here: http://www.lastniteidreamt.com/posts/single/338/

Dreaming While Pregnant

Here is a dream I was recently told by someone who is currently pregnant:

“Last Nite I Dreamt, I was with my sister and we were trying to figure out where to go. She wanted to go to a concert even though I was 9 months pregnant. We decided to go but on roller skates. I kept “rolling” after her and telling her that it was dangerous for me and I needed my shoes! She kept going. People on the streets were helping me get around. Some time later, I ended up back at work for a “visit” and then I was surrounded by students and everyone asking me for help. I kept telling them, I’m not really here. I’m on maternity leave. I’m invisible. I wished that I could tap my heels together like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and say to myself- there is no place like home, no place like home… and then I woke up.”

When you’re pregnant you’re obviously restricted from doing many things. You have a desire to do so much that you would usually do before pregnancy but you just can’t. Dreaming of it is a way of feeling free again, living your life the way it was before you were physically unable to do so. Dreams of uncertainty and worry increase during pregnancy. There is a fear of the unknown in real life, and that fear also appears in your dreams. In your dream you try to escape from what bothers you in real life but no matter what you do you can’t get away from it. The only solution is to wake up, which is exactly what happens most of the time.

My sisters have both been pregnant, and during both pregnancies I’ve had so many dreams of the unborn babies. I’ve dreamt of what they will look like and what their names will be. It is the unknown that does not leave my mind. The whole situation is like a mystery to me and it’s as if I’m trying to solve it through my dreams. My mind puts together the baby’s face, name, everything about the baby that nobody knows yet. It’s like I’m playing a guessing game with myself. There is something about the unknown that I like. It gives my imagination a chance to grow and expand. After all, aren’t dreams just that? Your imagination taking it to the next level? I think so.

Waking Up During A Bad Dream

I found a really interesting article on www.WikiHow.com on how to wake up from a bad dream. There are a few steps listed on what you can do when you want to make yourself wake up. Take a look here:
http://www.wikihow.com/Wake-Up-from-a-Bad-Dream

I recently read this article, and then had a bad dream where I had to make myself wake up…and it worked! I know it takes practice, and I definitely need a lot more of it. (Here is my dream entry: http://www.lastniteidreamt.com/posts/single/309/). I dreamt that I was about to get into a car crash and die. In my dream I knew that what I was seeing wasn’t real and I wanted to escape that scenario as soon as possible. I was able to control my thoughts, and my actions. I closed my eyes while sitting in my front seat, and basically thought to myself, “Please God let me live.” I immediately woke up. I was definitely terrified and shocked at how the whole thing played out. There I am in my dream, about to crash, yet I know it’s a dream and I control the outcome. I close my eyes, think out loud, and then I wake up.

Have you ever been able to close your eyes and speak or think in your dream? It’s such a good feeling when you can control these bad dreams and wake up before they get worse.

Do You Forget Your Dreams Easily?

I seem to remember my dreams most clearly the moment I wake up. If I don’t get up and blog immediately, I start to forget a few things. I’ve heard it’s a good idea to keep a notepad by your bed. This way, if you wake up during the middle of the night from a dream, you can write down what you saw and go right back to sleep. I also have those days where I wake up and don’t remember a single dream. Throughout the day I’ll see an object, and it will automatically trigger my memory and I’ll remember my entire dream.

If you forget your dreams easily, it may be best to keep a notepad by your side. You can wake up mid-sleep, write down a word here or there, close your eyes and fall right back asleep. You will probably wake up in the morning, look at your notepad and feel really confused. “What? I don’t remember waking up and writing down anything.” You will read the words on your notepad and then remember your dream! Try it out. Let us know if it works!

FEEDBACK!!!!

As you know, we’re a pretty newly launched site. I want to hear all of your feedback. What’s wrong with the site? What’s right with the site? What should change? Any features you’d like added in the future? What do you like about the site? We want to hear it all. Please feel free to send a message by using the bottom “Contact Us” section. Thank you!!

Be Anonymous

I know I know, blogging your dreams for everyone to see is a bit too much. In my case, I like knowing what my friends dream about because it gives me an opportunity to get inside their heads and know what they’re thinking about. I start to analyze why they’re seeing what they’re seeing. It’s like a puzzle that I’m trying to put together, and I find it quite entertaining.

The good thing about the site is that you can post anonymously! You don’t have to make a user name if you don’t want to. You can post as a one-time user, and make a temporary and random user name. Nobody will know who you are, but in the end you’ll be able to tell your dream and hear what the rest of us have to say about it.

Why Blog Your Dreams To Strangers?

Do you care to read what strangers dream about? Probably not. I’m sure you find it more interesting to read about your friends’ dreams because you can relate to them. If your friends mention a certain “friend,” “store,” or “family member” in their dreams, you’ll know exactly who or what they’re talking about. I love reading and hearing about my friends’ dreams, especially when they tell me they dreamt of me and certain other friends who I know. I can immediately relate, and have an urge to hear more about what happened in the dream.

By posting your dreams for strangers to read, you’re able to express yourself. You can write about whatever you dreamt and nobody will know who you’re talking about. You don’t need to hold back and you can tell your dream exactly how it is. If you dreamt about a certain love interest, strangers will not know who you’re talking about. Therefore you can write about it freely, knowing that you will not be judged or talked about.

I urge you guys to write about your dreams. Whether or not you know who is on this site, it’s always fun to write about what you saw in your sleep. You can always go back to your previous posts and read about dreams you forgot you had. What if a few months ago you blogged about a dream, and when you went back to read it, you realized that in your present life, that dream came true? Make this your public dream diary. Hear what others think your dream represents. It’s a benefit for you, and for other dreamers.

Think Positive

Have you ever noticed how what you dreamt last nite sets the tone for your entire day? I’ve had awful and scary dreams, where I’ve woken up just having a sense of worry. After I have those bad dreams, throughout my day I get visions of my dream and I start to worry and feel negative. I’ve had the good and pleasant dreams where I’ve woken up feeling happy and optimistic about everything. Those are the dreams that allow me to have a great day. I remember the dream throughout my day and love life. I once dreamt I was in a dark street and there was a scary man far away looking at me, and I just felt scared the whole day following that dream. I kept having visions of that man looking at me, not knowing what he was going to do. I’ve heard that it’s good to have positive thoughts before you sleep, that way you can have good dreams, but I’m not exactly sure that works all the time. When I have bad dreams, I always wake up asking myself why I would’ve had a dream like that. It seems like for me, I can’t control what I see when I sleep. It’s possible that the bad dreams we see are trying to tell us something. Perhaps that man I saw at the end of the street is actually something that’s bothering me in real life? A real life “villain” or maybe it’s a specific problem, something that’s causing stress, and I need to find a way to get rid of it in real life, so it will not follow me in my dreams.

Dreaming in Color

For the first time in a long time I dreamt in a color that I could remember. The color was a bright turquoise. In the dream, my friend and I were graduating and we were wearing bright turquoise caps and gowns. The color was so bright, vivid and fresh. We even had turquoise jewelry and eye makeup on. When I told my friend about the dream, she sent me a meaning about dreaming in turquoise.

“Seeing turquoise in your dream, symbolizes good luck and fortune. It is said that the turquoise gemstone wards off evil. Additionally, it possesses healing energy and acts to unify forces between the spirits of the earth and the air. As a color, turquoise is symbolic of healing power and natural energy.”

http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dream/turquoise

I can relate to the meaning of seeing turquoise in my dream. Graduating in a dream alone is very symbolic to me because it represents change and a new beginning. Graduating in a turquoise gown has an even stronger meaning. I will be moving forward to something great in my life and hopefully I will have good luck and fortune. I’m definitely in a place in my life where I’m moving on from one thing to the other. I know the best is yet to come. I’m letting go of the past, I’m graduating in life and I’m in the process of starting something new.
